3. The first area of weakness that i want to work on is Self-Determination.

a. Describe the situation - I am starting a new job this week as an assistant manager and not only do i have to learn new policies, i have to learn new procedures, I need to make sure that I intentionally involve myself in every aspect possible without feeling overwhelmed.

b. What will you do? I will ask as many questions as possible and i will “get my hands dirty” and learn will try and learn as much as possible by using the hands on approach.

c. Who else will be involved? Managers and other senior staff will be involved in making sure I’m trained properly.

d. How will you know if you have been effective? People will respect me and pay attention to my managing techniques and directions.

The second area of weakness that I would like to work on is Personal Consequence. I would like to work on making sure that the actions that carried on through by myself are impacting people in a positive way.

i. Describe the situation. - Decisions that are made at my current job relating to job satisfaction are important. Making sure that not only are procedures being followed but that the guests are happy with the service

ii. What will you do? I will do my hardest to make sure that the guest is satisfied by going above and beyond and providing exceptional service.

iii. Who else will be involved - Other front desk staff and management supporting and backing my decisions.

iv. How will you know if you have been effective? - Guests will let the management know of my good work or I will be pleased with how the situation turned out.
